89 Seconds at Alcázar, the book, which documents Rufus Corporation’s video of the same name, is now available. The piece is based on Velasquez’ Las Meninas. Set up in three parts with an introductory section, the story in pictures, and final section that reveals the making of the piece: Part 1: includes a prologue text by Eve Sussman, notes and drawings by Sussman and choreographer Claudia de Serpa Soares, and photographs of the cast by Rufus Corporation photographers Bobby Neel Adams and Benedikt Partenheimer, among others. Part 2: stills from the HD video. Part 3: behind-the-scenes and ‘making-of’ photos, more drawings and notes including score notes for the soundtrack by composer Jonathan Bepler.
